Thorpe Park Resort is a full-day theme park about 20 miles from central London, with more than 30 rides, live events, family attractions, and major roller coasters. Your mobile ticket covers entry, while parking, food, and Fastrack cost extra. Check height rules carefully, especially for children under 1.2 meters.

Spend one day at Alton Towers Resort in Staffordshire with mobile admission to more than 50 rides and attractions. Older children and thrill seekers can tackle Nemesis, Oblivion, The Smiler, Rita, and Wicker Man, while younger children meet Elmo and explore CBeebies Land. Rides are included, but food, parking, and transport cost extra.

Spend about six hours exploring Warwick Castle, its towers, ramparts, gardens, and grand rooms. Your ticket includes select shows and attractions such as the falconry display, Horrible Histories Maze, Time Tower, Princess Tower, Kingmaker, and Trebuchet Fireball Spectacular. The Castle Dungeons cost extra and are for ages 10 and up.

Spend two hours walking through Soho, Mayfair, Denmark Street, and central London with guides such as Henry, Danny, Tom, Calum, and Alan. “Anyone with disabled access cards please make sure you pre book. I hadn't, they gave me my 1st day but not the 2nd. You have to book months in advance now apparently. Wish I had known this. 2nd day wasted as was not able to hang around for an hr or 2 per ride.”
Visit Queen Victoria and Prince Albert’s seaside home on the Isle of Wight. See the royal apartments, Durbar Room, family bedrooms, gardens, Swiss Cottage, and private beach. The ticket includes the house and estate, with seasonal limits on upper rooms and Swiss Cottage. Allow at least four hours, and longer if you want to walk the full grounds.

Spend a day, or return across a full year, at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. Visit Bombay Sapphire’s historic Laverstoke Mill, 15 miles from Winchester, for a 90-minute guided tour. Make a G&T at the Turbine Bar, see the botanical glasshouses, explore the Botanical Room, and learn about vapour infusion. From a yummy G&T to start whilst watching a film in their super comfy cinema, learning the history of the site, to a fabulous tour with Luke and ending in the bar to sample an unusual cocktail … who knew you could mix gin with so many different things! Spend a full day at Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Winston Churchill, with access to the Baroque palace, gardens, and 2,000 acres of parkland. Choose palace entry or gardens only, then see the Churchill Exhibition, Life Below Stairs, Family Treasures, and limited-time rooftop views during the 2025 roof restoration.

Spend one hour on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal with commentary by comedian Dave Spikey of Phoenix Nights fame. You’ll hear local stories, canal history, and Northern humor while passing countryside and wildlife. Walk through Chatham Dockyard’s filming locations with a guide dressed as a midwife. Hear production stories, compare present-day streets with Poplar scenes, and see Call the Midwife props and costumes. “I travel a lot and take advantage of these tours frequently. It takes a lot to coax a poor review from me. Let me first say that the guide seemed like a good guy. That said, we were the only people with him on a non-private tour, which was a red flag. He also showed up looking fairly sloppy and disheveled. Not a crime in and of itself but indicative of a general lack of professionalism. As we toured the museum, it became apparent that he had at most a cursory knowledge of the actual collection. Instead, after a few words of explanation at each stop, he filled the time…”
